GSU early morning operation yields drugs and prohibited materials

On Thursday, the GSU unearthed a nine millimeter pistol and ammunition on a search at the home of Emmerson Trapp on Pelican Street. In the early hours of this morning, between one and five a.m. when most people were asleep, the unit was out in full force in a joint operation with the K-9 Unit along with the Prison Department. The operation, which searched three hundred inmates at the Belize Central Prison, led to the discovery of twenty-six grams of cannabis, prohibited materials including metals and PVC pipes used to make borers, as well as four cell-phones including one that was connected to the prison’s electricity supply along with a pager.

Rudy Faber & Judith Moody

In another operation immediately following the prison raid, the GSU executed a search warrant on a farm in Biscayne Village on the Northern Highway. A search of the premises belonging to twenty-eight year old Rudy Faber and his common-law-wife, twenty-five year old Judith Moody, the GSU found a total of sixty-five marijuana plants measuring between six and sixteen inches in height.   Both Faber and Moody were arrested and charged for the offence of cultivation of cannabis.
