Woman ends argument with a stick(ing) point

Two feuding women, eighteen year old Shanice Castillo and Shelmadine Jones, appeared in court today after a verbal outburst left Jones with a couple stitches above her eye after she was hit with a piece of stick. On Tuesday, November fifteenth, Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer remanded Castillo to the Belize Central Prison for three nights after she pleaded guilty of harm upon Jones, to which she showed no remorse. In court today, Senior Magistrate Frazer spared Castillo from a six month jail sentence, because, she said, she believed and hoped that Castillo had learned a lesson. In court this morning, Castillo expressed remorse and told the Senior Magistrate that it will not happen again. She was charged six hundred dollars plus a five dollars cost of court, which she must pay by January 2012 or a default in payment will result in six months behind bars.
