Gospel Concert in the Park to uplift youths

And while the new Chief Magistrate has acted in good faith and pardoned Leonard Pinks, there is another person who believes that our fate depends on faith. Gospel singer Reality Youth’s lyrics have chastised sinners and called them to change their ways. The musician, who normally adds a spiritual message to dancehall rhythms, is hosting a Gospel Concert at B.T.L. Park on Saturday night. In addition to the sale of his new album, concertgoers can also enjoy music from artists who will come from as far as Punta Gorda.

Reality Youth

“This is one of my video that I shoot this year, but it si a song that I recorded in studio last year. The song is explaining about the god I worship—it is not a white or black god—in spirit and truth, it lives within me. And the song—no offence—is saying its above Selassi, Mohamed, Pope Benedict, Buddha, Lucifer, White Jesus, Black Jesus; above all of them false images. This concert is a concert against crime and violence that is plaguing Belize. We’re here to uplift the name of God across the whole entire region of Belize City and we are welcoming everybody; all the way from P.G. because we have some P.G. artists who are also going to be a part of this Gospel Concert that is going to take place at B.T.L. this Saturday. We have artists like Mr. Linx, Glenn C and also artists like Groove. These artists are very talented and they are living for Christ—I don’t know how faithful they are in Christ—but I know that they are brothers in Christ and we are here to build each other, mold each other and encourage others who are coming out to actually see this big performance at B.T.L. Park.”

The outdoor concert at the B.T.L. Park starts at six-thirty on Saturday night.
