Her son recently passed away, now her house has collapsed

They say that God won’t give us more than we can handle but Odessa Orosco is being tested. Orosco has been having a rough time; two months ago she buried her son, Christopher Bowman, who passed away after struggling with a vascular tumor. And on Tuesday, the heavy rains have collapsed her small wooden house on Pine Street.  News Five’s Delahnie Bain caught up today with Orosco and her family.

Odessa Orosco is still grieving the loss of her son, Christopher Bowman, who passed away in June after battling a malignant tumor for fourteen years. Today, Orosco has another misfortune to cope with; the loss of her house. Her common-law-husband, Alexander Trapp, says the house was weakened by recent weather systems and it caved in on Tuesday.

i would’t even call that “house”? Where is the GOB to offer some aid? and why hasn’t these two both try to built something nicer?

  2. karen says:

Tim i don’t think you have any idea how rough life can be with others

  3. Ziberio says:

Tim, I believe everyone is smart, but it seems that you aren’t; why call on the ?GOB????
Everybody is their own boss, you grow, you work, you save for such time…….why is it that everytime something happens, everyone look on the government????
If you have a life, a house, a garden, a lover – YOU AND ONLY YOU, SHOULD TAKE CARE OF IT.

  4. Chance says:

We can understand that she needed support for her son’s health but I think it is time that she take care of herself now. I hope she had used every penny collected towards her son’s health and not for her own keep.

Stories like this reminds me what a great country the USA is despite its many faults. Refugees and poor people from every country in the world come here and are provided with all basic needs including housing. In third world countries like Belize “dog eat dog”. By the way, what ever happened to the millions of dollars that Chavez gave Belize to build houses for the poor?

Oh, it is so easy to blame people for the condition of their lives. Darwinism espouses survival of the fittest, Should we intervene in natural selection or should we let nature takes its course. If you can’t provide shelter and food for your own survival, so be it. Die. Next.
