BeliLeaks? Wikileaks on Belize snitches about high level meetings

Belize had generally remained under the Wikileaks radar, but now hundreds of classified cables on a wide range of activities here, have been disclosed in a trove of uncensored US diplomatic cables made public today by Wikileaks. The website released its entire archive of about two hundred and fifty-one thousand, two hundred and eighty-seven documents that throw light on the workings of US embassies worldwide and the candid views of US diplomats. The release was quickly condemned by US officials as well as by major news organizations who say the information contained could put at risk the lives of many. Wikileaks began releasing the cables back in 2010 but because of a security breach on its website; it has now published the entire data. We sifted through some of the voluminous information on Belize, but time and space do not permit their full coverage. Here is a pick of two reports:

The first coincides with the U.D.P.’s second anniversary in office and the PM’s press quarterly conference held on February ninth, 2009. The reporting covered the salient points discussed by the Prime Minister on the economy, crime and security. The comments from the head of mission are most interesting. It says that despite his broad claims of success, the Embassy “has yet to see a significant difference between the current U.D.P. government and the previous P.U.P. Administration.  We often witness more of the same cronyism, public complaints of corruption at many levels of government and ineffective public service entities, including hospitals police and schools.”

There…even the US agrees…both parties are incompetent…same as each other…..Please don’t reply saying that this one or that one steals less than the other….all the is BS. Both parties are crooks and good for nothing. All they think about is stealing and laundering.

The younger generation has to do something because the older ones are sticks in the mud and its hard for them to change. We need to help our older folks in choosing the right way of doing things. We need to take back the country and make a difference.
