Easy Glenn makes loan payment to avoid going to Kolbe

Glenford "Easy Glen" Adolphus

Glenford Adolphus, better known as Easy Glenn, is an outspoken former employee of the Belize City Council and a well known face around the city. You’ll probably remember the U.D.P. activist from many television appearances, but tonight he is in the news for an old debt he hasn’t paid. Easy Glenn was picked up this afternoon on the strength of a committal warrant for money he owes to First Stop Speedy Money, owned by Gilroy Usher Junior. Adolphus borrowed five hundred dollars which was to be repaid in three installments with two hundred and fifty dollars interest by June ninth, 2009 but up the time of his arrest, not a single cent had been paid. Usher filed a civil suit in May of this year, but not even a court order could get Adolphus to hand over the cash.  But when he was about to be sent off to Hattieville, Adolphus paid up four hundred and fifty dollars and was given an extension to pay the balance, which is another four hundred and ten dollars with court fees. If the case rings a bell, that’s because it bears striking similarity to the ongoing battle between P.U.P. personalities, Winston Smiling and Steve Nembhard, which is over a loan of six thousand dollars.

Exactly, just like how we need to pay our debts…it’s everybody’s responsibility to do the same…no because we dah UDP or PUP, we get some kind of relief..things should not work like that in Belize and I am glad this case is one of those that the person responsible for borrowing is paying up! Now, my question is, who will want to grant Easy Glenn any future loans…certainly not me…too much hard paying people in Belize!
