Child with skin cancer needs help

In other news, an Orange Walk mother is asking the public for financial assistance toward medical treatment for her two year old baby boy. Jovita Tillett says that her son, Zaider Tillett, had skin cancer and upon receiving treatment, he was cured but the treatment left baby Zaider without his sight. And while the disease has stunted his growth and ability to walk, his mother says that a surgery can restore his vision.

“The problem that my baby mi got skin cancer then afterwards dah Orange Walk Hospital deh give ah treatment afterwards five days I mi si that he mi cyaa si after five days ih mi di cry ih lost ih plate mi cyaa si. Then I gone dah di docta weh mi gimme di treatment fi ah but he was not there and then I mi gone dah di BCVI deh tell mi dat he need surgery and deh di ask me fi six hundred dollars but I can’t afford that because me poor and that’s why I come yah to news five fu si if deh could help me because di first of August deh want operate my baby.”

“Yes, the doctor told me yes they will have to do him an operation then probably ih seh that God praise ih ah cud si.”
