I am glad that prices are controlled but where are the persons who check that these prices are in fact the ones the consumers are paying? We have been paying more than a dollar per pound of flour in Dangriga and in Hopkins. These business price their goods with whichever price they want. Some one should do checks on these shops frequently and charge them the appropriate fines since they have been making a profit from us for a long time now.

I wish I could get flour for 90 cents a pound! 1.10 is the minimum charged in Belize City & Ladyville.

How about the Consumer Protection people go round the stores, and prosecute those that are, and have been fleecing their customers for years. While they are at it, check the scales used too, and prosecute them for the innacurate ones!

never happen – way too many vested interests involved here
