Corozal man missing following Hurricane Dean

Story PictureMost of the damage from Hurricane Dean has been repaired but today we learned of one casualty that has yet to be dealt with. It involves fifty-three year old Alfred White senior, a resident of Corozal who, in the wake of the storm, could not cope with his new situation. The mental patient has been missing since early October and his son-in-law, Anthony Espinoza, is hoping that News Five viewers can help find him.

“The hurricane took off his roof of his house and he took it hard. He’s a mental patient, he was on medication. He was renting an apartment and the apartment was too small and it started to bother him because he like his space. Weh pah he live they have—only he live ova that area weh pa he live. So he can take his walk and thing, nobody come and disturb but at the apartment everybody come and it get he nervous and thing so he just left the house. Went through Xaibe, Patchakan, they back areas. From deh they seh they saw him in Cayo, from deh they seh they saw him in Belize. My little sister call us in Corozal like New Years and ih seh they saw him in the Battlefield Park. So well then I come up, took a day or two from my work and I come up, me and my wife, we circle whole ah Belize and we still noh find him. But we just want them to turn him over to the police or call us and we will take him to Rockview so that they get him stabilised and back on his medication.”
