Landy Habet leads P.U.P. Western Caucus

Story PictureIn the meantime, P.U.P. leader Johnny Briceño is meeting with party members nationwide seeking to reassure the old guard of their role while at the same time looking for fresh faces to move the party forward. One former standard bearer who combines experience with a new approach is Cayo’s Orlando Habet. He spoke to News Five’s Kendra Griffith this morning in Belize City.

“Right now we have just had some problems with the party splitting up a little bit in terms of looking for leadership but it’s a process that will be healed and eventually we will have a party leader who will get support from the other members of the party.”

“There’s another convention coming up this weekend. You putting yourself up for any post?”

Orlando Habet
“I haven’t thought about it as yet. I don’t think I will be up for a post but last Saturday we had a meeting in the Cayo District in San Ignacio and we had members of the different constituencies and I was elected as the chairman of the Western Caucus so I will be a member of the executive.”
