Jet skiing American airlifted to hospital

An American visitor, who went jet skiing with her husband and a group of friends had to be rescued out of the waters near Ambergris Caye. Police are collecting statements on what transpired out at sea. After she was pulled out of the water, Cara Bray was taken to the San Pedro Polyclinic and quickly airlifted to Belize City for medical treatment. It is known, however, that Bray fell off her jet ski and injured her back. Initial reports say that she was picked up by a passing water taxi at around eleven-thirty this morning. Bray was in a critical but stable condition when she left the San Pedro Polyclinic.

  1. Justice says:

Ok another tourist is injured. Whether she is at fault or not this is not looking good for Belize. My fear right now is the law suit that will foillow. Ameriicans love to sue. Guess they try to ensure they have funds to enjoy and then to retire on later.

  2. Concerned says:

    Hey Justice,
What is wrong with you? Not everyone in America is sue happy. If company has a rental business and one of its renters get hurt…..Thats what insurance is for! But knowing Belize, they probably don’t have it. What if this lady is paralized for life…What then? Would she be sue happy to secure some sort of life for herself? I’m perplexed at your hate attitude.

  3. Cara Bray says:

    Dear Justice,

I like to start by saying you are an insensitive selfish rude idiot! I am an American and I would never sue the country of Belize! I have single handedly brought over $4000,000 to San Pedro over the past 11 years. I have encouraged more than 75 people to visit YOUR island during that time. I have my own money and have no intention requesting yours. I was hurt in an unfortunate accident which could have paralyzed me or better yet, killed me! Be very careful what you say before you know the facts! I love my Belize family and always will! Dr. Otto was a hero to me. And you, my friend, are a major disappointment!

    I am
