Western caucus supports John Briceño

We have been reporting on the recent slew of attacks on the leadership of Peoples United Party’s John Briceño.  Last week, it was Leonard Chavarria who vociferously railed against Briceño that was followed by a stinging indictment by former Cabinet colleague Godfrey Smith, and it was topped by the resignation of Don Hector Silva from the Order of Distinguished Service. They have all had their say in a very public way.  But today, four caucuses of the P.U.P. came out in full support of Briceño. The Western caucus release was strong. Aside from supporting Briceño a hundred percent, it condemned “the innuendos and potshots recently leveled against the party leader by disgruntled malcontents who have apparently embarked on an insidious campaign.”  The southern caucus called Smith’s remarks baseless noting that he is not involved in the work of the party while the northern caucus was a gem and as unkind as Smith was. According to the release, Smith’s article is nothing more than a hodgepodge of disjointed, unsolicited opinions guised as ‘political views’ but in reality just one man’s attempt at instigating mischief. It continues that taken in the context of Smith’s lack of political success and his guided withdrawal from the P.U.P., his article then seems like no more than petty insults coming from a petulant and pouting child. As for the eastern caucus, it disregards any derogatory remarks that seem intended to undermine the unification of the party.

Its the message not the messenger. What the man wrote is true.
What Mark said about their pendulum addiction is also true.
Bite the bullet PUP, you need a better leader, not a political handicap.

I have had enough of the political circus in Belize. Come on you young fresh visionaries just out U.B. with all those fancy degrees. There are NO JOBS waiting for you so might as well unite and form political parties. Both P.U.P. and U.DP have failed the people and overstayed their welcome. VOTE BOTH PARTIES OUT AND GIVE THE INDEPENDENTS A CHANCE.

Many people in a party when they can not get their way, the find other ways to discredit people. There are many who get into a position for power, money etc.. Look at our pm . So many promises he gave, how much have delivered? In the pup last five years so many of them including all those lawyers that were in cabinet just worry about themselves, how much they could get from their deals.
We need new people in the pup. An for mr. Johny Bricenio, just do your best. Keep up with your good work. but be careful of those that will try to bring your reputation down.

I only hope that the Western Caucus will not allow itself to be embroiled in matters that go beyond their comprehention. My resignation from the ODS is a very high caliber affair. I would advice anyone aspiring for any of the Cayo District constituencioes , not to be manipulated by minnions in Politics. The present position is too sensitive to say the wrong words at the wrong time. All the
Western constituencies are as fragile as HUYU EGG. This is A simple and FREE advice.

Well all i can say is that the Belizean Public are tired of the PUDP. I have not had many supports in the past when i travel in my constituency. Come one people lets give the PNP and VIP a chance. You will see the difference. Both PUP and UDP have failed you. Time for a change now. Come 2013, when you go to the poll, think and remember these days, “HAAD TIMES”. Take back your country and let people who care for other people, better education, more jobs, better heath care, care for the environment and most of all more opportunities for all Belizeans.
