Maxwell Castillo said cops robbed him; he lied!

In another case along the same lines, two police officers almost lost their jobs and had their reputations tarnished when a Caye Caulker resident accused them of stealing cash and household items from him. But forty-five year old Maxwell Castillo is now being accused of fabricating the allegations and is facing a charge of Committing a Mischievous Act. He had reported that police searched him and took his money along with a cartoon box that contained a table top stove, some pots and pans as well as other school and cosmetic items. According to Castillo, he was escorted to the Queen Street Police Station, but was released and told to check back the following day. But After numerous attempts, he says he could not get back his belongings. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was offered bail of seven hundred and fifty dollars. According to Police Press Officer, Sergeant Fitzroy Yearwood, Castillo reportedly confessed that he had lied.

Sgt. Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer

“Mister Maxwell Castillo is claiming that sometime around the eighth of February he was on Albert Street when he was approached by a grey police pickup where officers exited and took away a little more than four thousand dollars Belize in cash and some other items. He claimed also that he visited the Queen Street Police Station on two other occasions because he is saying that on the night these items were taken away the officers told him to return the following day because they were conducting an investigation.  Well, Internal Affairs again opened an investigation into this allegation only to find out that during this investigation Mr. Maxwell Castillo admitted and gave a caution statement to the effect that he had in fact lost his money and was making an allegation to try to get back the money from police noh.  Mr. Castillo is presently detained and he will be charged for [committing] a mischievous act.  I just want to encourage members of the public that if you have experienced real wrongdoing by police officers or believe that your rights have been violated.  [If] you bring a legitimate complaint to our department we [will] investigate all allegations.  If it is found out that your allegation is false [then] we will charge you because it’s not nice for you to be tarnishing officers’ names under false allegations so we will, at the same time if the officers have done you wrong they will be charged.  So if they have been exonerated because of our investigations you will be charged for that mischievous act.”

Castillo is due back in court on March thirty-first.

Maybe he can call his wife from jail & ask her nicely to return his gonads. Either learn to say no or accept that you are the “B” & make sure your wife only gives you exact change so that you cannot hurt yourself again. What I want to know is why this man’s brother needed that much money or is this our new name for the other woman? Just a thought….
