Is the government successful in keeping manifesto promises?

Three years ago on February eighth, the U.D.P. was elected on a platform to imagine the possibilities. So tonight’s question is: Do you think the government has been successful in keeping its manifesto promises?   To take part in the conversation all you have to do is to email comments to questions@channel5belize.com, send a text using your SMART phones to 8686, or log on to our e-poll at www.channel5belize.com.

Of course, the BALL-LESS AND HAIR-LESS has kept his promise of imagining the possibilities. Did we ever imagine the possibilities of people losing their jobs because of party colours? Did we ever imagine the possibilities of single mothers being thrown out of their homes just to be given to a red?Did we ever imagine that the HONOURABLE P.M. would be five times richer than he was when in the opposition? Do you want be to continue?

  2. EMS says:

Yes, the PM has efffectively hired all his family members and cronies, fired his perceived enemies wreaked havoc on the Justice system, kept Crispin Jeffries on as Compol despite his incompetence/inability as an effective chief of the police force and is continuing to run the country as his personal position. Furthermore, he has been able to spend more time out of the country than any other elected official in the history of Belize.

LOL Lucas you are so right in that decription. Love it! AlL I can say is that easy come, easy go so he can take heed. The haiar became hairless, the ball became ball less and the money he raped the Belizeans to get will at some time be spent on maybe health reasons or otherwise and then it will be money less.Nothing last forever only his ego seem to lasting a long ime and his administration—too long!

  4. The People Had Enough says:

What gullible people to believe that this PM is about keeping promises, we do and say anything to get elected my fellow citizens our resolve is unwavering we have our eyes on the prize what prize you say? Of course not; let me point put just one shortfall and the most important to suffering Belizeans:FUEL PRICE. This commodity affects everybody and drives the entire economy, even running of Government is affected by fuel prices. The US price of gasoline on Tuesday was $2.45 U.S. per gallon and the price of crude oil $87.++ give and take one dollar for aquisition and shipment, plus another dollar for duty and distribution and the price still does not reach to our present elevated price. So what is the government trying to do ?? It cannot manage its own bussiness; it is not applying absolutely no austerity measures yet it expects the people to do so; look at how many government propaganda is being shown on the local stations, they are a waste of money. When will people start to protest and show their discontent, three years have passed and ALL IS NOT WELL, really. Come on Belizeans!!!

    PROMISES — PROMISE……………………WHY SHOULD I BELIEVE?????????????????????????

BUT WAIT……………WILL THE PUP BE ANY BETTER????????????

  9. Ace says:

Well u can’t keep every pre election promise. Even Obama knows that. I am however happy that the corruption in GoB is not institutionalized or whole sale corruption. There is sporadic corruption but at least corupt schemes are not manufactured in cabinet like a previous GoB which was infamous for that.

That’s all where it was ever to be “In Our Imaginations”. The “possibilities” have never been more further buried in our minds that there is no way to retrieve them if only through using our imaginations. So sad “Imagine the Possibilities”……the possibility that WHAT? things can actually get worst than they already were??? What a joke…wake up ‘one-term’ GoB I hope all your ‘piggy-banks’ are stuffed on the expense of taxpayers because it won’t last forever.
