Yankee remanded for throwing flaming bottle and shooting his neighbor

Jermaine "yankee" Arnold

In the Magistrate’s Court, a resident of Wagner’s Lane in Belize City was remanded after he allegedly tried to kill his neighbor. Thirty-two year old Jermaine Arnold, also known as “Yankee” is accused of shooting forty-one year old Denfield Carr twice in the back on February second. When he appeared before Senior Magistrate, Sharon Frazer, Arnold was slapped with three counts; Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. Arnold has been remanded until his next court appearance on March second. Carr, who was under an abandoned house on Wagner’s Lane, says Arnold threw a flaming gallon and another bottle containing some liquid on the stairs. According to Carr, he attempted to flee but Arnold fired four shots at him and two caught him in the lower back. Arnold escaped in the direction of East Canal, but was detained the following day.

Arnold is also serving time for an outstanding fine of one hundred and fifty-five dollars for a drug possession conviction dating back to 2007. The unpaid fines were discovered last Friday when he pleaded guilty to a charge of threatening words. His ex-girlfriend, Sana Mortis, made the report on January thirtieth after Arnold went to her house and told her (quote) “Yuh dead Sana.  I will kill you and I don’t give a damn about the police.” (unquote) for that charge, he was fined two hundred dollars.

Well we know what Sana’s life is worth to Sharon Frazer, $200.00, I believe the spaces at the new cemetery costs more than that. What does this fool have to do before we lock his angry @$$ up for life, the only reason he is not facing murder charges is dumb luck.

A very dangerous man he is and he should be put out of his misery for all I care.
Seem like he’s got nothing to live for.

  3. Justice says:

$200.00 and he might still kill her. Is that how much a life is worth? I wish someone would put a bullet to eliminate him so that the Belize society can have one less good for nothing.

  4. Proud Belizean says:

I agree with all the comments above….he is a parasite to society

  5. daveyt says:

Proud belizean, I agree, but without these parasites on the streets, there’d be no crime, and the Lawyers wouldn’t get paid!!! Can’t have that, can we, as those same lawyers & magistrates will be running the country at some stage, and they need all the money they can grab to get them there. Once there, taking back the money spent is as easy as taking candy off of a baby! Raise taxes, increase the cost of living, raise taxes and pocket the lot!!!

  6. Fed Up says:

Total lack of fear for the legal system…certainly that can be understood.

Ole Trickey Dickey to the rescue, show that no one really saw him, the guy shot in the back could not of seen him as it was in the back..yada yada yada..same crap different day.

Slipped right through the system on the drug charges, now will slip through on the attempted murder charges.

Fear the cops? please why would they fear the incompetant police department?

  7. lost for words says:
