Freed of robbery charge but detained on parole violation

Moises conorquie

Also in court, twenty-eight year old Moises Conorquie was today acquitted of a robbery charge which was brought against him in October 2009.  Conorquie, who was on parole for another robbery he allegedly committed earlier that year, was also accused of robbing Symbiline Reyes of a purse containing her personal documents.  According to a statement given to Belize City police, Reyes said she was walking along New Road in the company of two friends when she was accosted by Conorquie whom she had known for three years.  Reyes described that she felt a sharp object being placed to the right side of her neck.  When she began struggling with her attacker he reportedly snatched her purse and fled into a nearby alley.  Reyes picked out Conorquie from a police picture gallery as the man who attacked her. But Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazier withdrew the charge after Reyes’ testimony which stated that the man who robbed her was tall and dark but did not turn out to be Conorquie.  Conorquie was initially free to go, but was held on a parole violation.  He was remanded to Hattieville Prison where he will appear before a parole board.

I smell witness intimidation. Just remember that like the others, if he is not in jail for whatever he did to you, he will be free to do whatever he wants to you & others.

You’re not free, you now have to deal with having to walk by this prick with a smirk on his face & the fear of knowing that he or one of the other urchins in his posse can take advantage of you at any time.

I wonder what goes through these youths mind…they just parasites of society that prefer not to work but live off the vulnerable.

Get a brain, then get a job looser. One day you wa rob the wrong man and u going down forever!
