Sixty-three year old acquitted of attempted murder

Gerald Westby Sr

Meanwhile, an elderly man had better luck as he was acquitted of three criminal offences. Sixty-three year old Gerald Westby Senior was charged with Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm and Dangerous Harm for allegedly stabbing seventeen year old Conrad Montes Guzman in 2009. But all charges were struck out today after the prosecutor, Sergeant Egbert Castillo noted that he has made numerous requests for Westby’s case file to be sent to the court, but it still had not been done. The charges first arose on September twenty-fifth last year after Montes was stabbed once to the chest during an altercation in front of Nancy’s Jewelry Store on Orange Street. One eyewitness, Ian Gentle, said that he saw Guzman approach Westby and demand that he hand over all he had.  Police say that Westby confessed to stabbing Guzman, but claimed that he was being harassed and was tired of it.

I do not condone violence, but sometimes I do have to make some exceptions, I just have to say, “you should have done that years ago”.

I do condone violence when it is the prescribed remedy.
For some diseases , no other remedy will work.
