Dios Int’l Missionary Church donates to flood victims

Story PictureWhile the U.S. Embassy was working out the details of handing over funds to the Red Cross, a group of missionaries from Los Angeles were crisscrossing Belize donating supplies to flood victims. The pastors from the Dios International Missionary Church arrived in the country last Wednesday with a container load of medical items, school supplies and toys. Today they told News Five that the donations are just one of the things they want to do in Belize.

Oluwabukola Fajinmi, Sr. Pastor
“About sixty percent of our members are Belizeans and we felt that at this time Belize need help because of the flood we need to respond and we indeed responded greatly for Belize.”

Francesca Fajinmi, Executive Pastor
“The only district we didn’t get to was Toledo so we covered all the districts in Belize. We gave it to all the hospitals and many of the schools in Belize City also received supplies, toys and schools supplies, backpacks and things like that and churches also received some things like bibles to help in the work of God.”

“This is just to test the ground. We believe that if this goes well we will be coming for more things for the country of Belize. With God on our favour, we will be able to start internship program where we can bring some interns to the U.S., maybe about ten youths at a time to help them through college. Right now we have some Belizeans that we are sponsoring in college in the United States of America. We are helping them with their tuition, transportation and whatever they need. Also we have some that we are counseling in high school and mentoring so that they can be focused on getting their college university education.”
