Rancho Dolores resident charged for burglary with intent to rape

Story PictureAlso in court, it is a charge that is not normally levied against a person, but today, a Rancho Dolores resident was charged with Burglary with Intent to Rape a seventeen year old minor. Forty-three year old contractor, Dean Perez Senior, was additionally slapped with the offence of Aggravated Assault. The charges came after allegations that Perez entered the home of the female minor intending to rape her. Perez pleaded not guilty to both charges and despite objection to bail for several reasons by the prosecution, Magistrate Albert Hoare offered Perez bail in the amount of five thousand dollars plus one surety of the same amount. The case was adjourned until January twenty-first, 2010. Due to the time the matter concluded, Perez was unable to meet bail requirements and was taken into custody until Wednesday.
