Why is NEAB Involved a Diplomatic Decision?

Lance Lewis

But why is the National Evangelical Association of Belize weighing on what is clearly a diplomatic position being taken by government?  According to Pastor Lance Lewis, it all ties back to the origin of Christianity.

Lance Lewis, Nat’l Evangelical Association of Belize

“Christianity came out of Judaism and so there is a connection.  When you read the Bible, you’ll see the Old Testament in particular dealing with Abraham and all the patriarchs coming there and then you see where Christ came from a Jewish background.  So there is strong connection between Judaism and Christianity.  It is different because Christianity has one sacrifice, one savior, one sacrifice, Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary.  But it is out of Judaism that Christianity came so.  So it’s like, maybe you’d want to say a mother and son or a father and son relationship and therefore there is a stronger connection with Christianity and Judaism than any other global religion.”

In a statement issued earlier today by NEAB, it read, “Soldiers do not do that, terrorists do!  Yet Government Advisor Assad Shoman said “Hamas is not a terrorist organization?”  While they fire rockets from hospitals and schools using kids as human shields?  The nation of Israel is recognized by the United Nations as a sovereign state, and has the full right to exist, and to defend their existence, as any nation does.  Our Govt., condemned Israel in their statement, never once mentioning or condemning Hamas atrocities!”
