Murder suspect freed for insufficient evidence

Story PictureIn another murder case, the accused man is free tonight from the double murder that occurred on May twenty ninth, 2008. Twenty one year old Nelson Henry, who was on remand for over a year, walked out of court a free man because the evidence against him was insufficient. In 2008, police charged two men for the murders of Karen Crawford and Maurice Emmanuel Banner of Bermudian Landing Village. Both had been gunned down in the village in what police believe was a drug deal gone sour. The alleged gunmen stormed into the Crawford’s home looking for Emerson Wade who was Crawford’s common-law-husband. But he was not at home at the time and the gunmen opened fire on Banner and Crawford, killing them instantly. Today, Henry and nineteen year old John Chessman Junior showed up for a new adjournment date, when he got the news. Meanwhile, the case against Chessman will be called on December thirtieth.
