Leonel Donaire bound and executed

Story PictureThere was an execution style homicide in the City between Monday night and Tuesday morning. It involves a mechanic who was brutally murdered some time during the night and left on the street side. On Monday night, twenty-one year old Leonel Jose Donaire left his home for the last time of his life. His uncle says Donaire drove off in his red Geo Prism about ten pm from their home on Driftwood Bay on the Northern Highway. A resident of Faber’s Road, who’s name will not be revealed, said that he drove onto Rio Grande Crescent after midnight and there was nothing unusual on the street. But by six a.m. Tuesday morning, neighbors called the police after they spotted a body at the corner of Rio Grande Crescent. Police arrived on the scene shortly after and found Donaire lying face up in the grass next to the drain with a single gunshot wound to the right side of his head on his temple. Both of Donaire’s hands were bound over his head with duct tape. The car has not been recovered and it is believed that Donaire was killed and then dropped off on the roadside. His family members did not wish to appear on camera out of fear for their safety. Donaire’s body was taken to the morgue at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for a post-mortem examination. No arrests have been made so far in the latest homicide in the city.
