Marijuana found in couple’s home

Story PictureA woman who claims to be an employee of the Ministry of Education said she called police to hand over a bullet she reportedly found inside her house. But today she was charged along with her common-law-husband for another offence. Twenty-three year olds Sandra Thompson and Patrick Flowers were charged with Drug Trafficking for three hundred and eighteen grams of marijuana. Flowers pleaded guilty to the charge with an explanation in court saying that he was not even at home at the time police found the weed and had no knowledge of it. But Thompson, who stood next to Flowers, asked to speak and told the court that she asked him to plead guilty to the charge so that she would not lose her job. But the plea was not accepted and the couple was offered bail of five thousand dollars which they both met. Both are due back before the court on December twenty-first. Police say that they searched the couple’s residence early this morning in response to a tip and found the drugs. Police say they did not receive any report from Thompson about a bullet in her house.
