Librarian pleads guilty to gun and ammo charges

Story PictureAnd in an early morning bust in Belize City, police seized a point thirty-eight Smith and Wesson pistol loaded with four live rounds of ammunition along with fifteen live rounds of point twenty-five ammunition. Thirty year old Librarian, Bernard Timmons and his common-law-wife, twenty seven year old Keisha Reneau were jointly charged with unlicensed firearm and ammunition. Late this evening, the young couple appeared before Senior Magistrate Dorothy Flowers in Court number two where Timmons pleaded guilty to all three charges. The couple was unrepresented and for his guilty plea he got a two year sentence. His common-law-wife remains incarcerated and is due back in court Friday morning and that’s when she will find out if the charges against her will be withdrawn. Their arrest came after seven this morning when police visited their home on Neal’s Penn Road and found the ammo in a black plastic bag and the firearm wrapped in a white cloth.
