Men arrested for six parcels of weed

Story PictureAlso in court, three persons were charged following a drug bust in the City that led police to the discovery of a bag containing sixty transparent plastic bags of marijuana which police claimed was in a sofa on which the trio sat. Two men and a woman identified as Albert Pollard and Kenroy Smith of Banak Street, along with Tracy Grant, a resident of Santa Elena, were nabbed. In court this morning, Grant told Magistrate Kathleen Lewis that she was innocent of the charge as she was in the house as a Social Worker and knew nothing of the weed. Grant claimed that she was there to get the particulars of the other accused persons for Superintendent Edward Broaster. But in court, Pollard took the rap for possession simplicita and not drug trafficking but did not agree with the facts read to him. He contradicted the police report saying that the weed was found in the yard and not in the house because he had already thrown it through a window. The magistrate entered a not guilty plea and all three were offered bail.
