Frank Conorquie convicted of theft… again

Story PictureFrank Conorquie has been in and out of court and on his latest appearance today, he was found guilty of theft of a cell phone. Magistrate Sharon Frazer imposed a fine of one thousand five hundred dollars to be paid by December fifteen and he was also ordered to pay the victim three hundred and fifty dollars. The victim is fifty-one year old Helen Cuellar, a friend of his present girlfriend. Cuellar testified and told the court that sometime in October 2008, she gave her new Razor cell phone to Conorquie to unlock, but she never recovered it. She claimed he agreed to pay for the phone but this did not materialize. In his defense, he asked the court to consider that he has a daughter and a mother who rely on him and he claimed he never expected the matter to go this far. By the time Cuellar was making a report against him, police had another report of theft against of a laptop computer. In that case, while he was charged criminally, the case was settled and Conorquie was ordered to pay a compensation of three thousand dollars. He failed to pay and last week Monday, he started a six month sentence in jail. For the third theft charge on Vernadelle Bailey last week, he was convicted and imposed a fine of one thousand dollars.
