Three Months on the Job for C.E.O. Adele Catzim-Sanchez

Adele Catzim-Sanchez

It’s been a little over three months since Adele Catzim-Sanchez was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Transport to replace Marconi Leal Junior, who is now over at the Ministry of Human Development, Families and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs. Catzim-Sanchez, a former C.E.O. under the previous U.D.P. administration, has taken on the responsibility with no hesitation. Today, she told News Five’s Duane Moody about transitioning back into government.

Adele Catzim-Sanchez, C.E.O., Ministry of Transport

“It’s good overall. I love a challenge. And I think that I have a great team to work with so I am really looking forward to us continuing to do good things for the government. My commitment is always to the Government of Belize, to the people of Belize and I feel privileged to be here to have another opportunity to contribute to youth development, to sports development and to transport. If you see the news, we are getting big up all over the place for all the sports achievement we’ve had over the last few weeks – so we are celebrating that. And don’t forget to come to the CODICADER opening; that’s this evening. So we are doing CODICADER, we are doing the traffic conference and all of these things we hope will just change the trajectory for us in Belize.”
