Gun men rob Favourite Shop

Story PictureEarlier in the newscast, we reported on the robbery at the Marketing Board. That took place today, but the owners of a fried chicken shop on Mahogany Street were the latest victim of an invasion. After ten-thirty Wednesday night, Thet Niang Hung and his wife, both Burmese nationals, closed the shop known as “Favorite.” While inside, three men entered and robbed them at gunpoint. The culprits tied them up and stole an assortment of dried goods, jewelry and cash totaling three thousand two hundred and seventy-eight dollars. The Co-owner of the shop spoke to News Five off-camera and he put the blame on unruly customers who were at the shop right before closing time for the night.
