Ann Terry turns a hundred and three this Sunday

Story PictureAnn Terry of Berkeley Street in Belize City has lived a full life in fact she has lived more than a century. Terry will be having a birthday this Sunday, she will be turning a hundred and two years old; an age that not many live to celebrate. To mark this auspicious occasion, Helpage put off a special birthday bash in her honor. She has been a member of Helpage Belize for the past fifteen years in the Arts and Craft group doing crochet, making mats and patchwork. Terry has lost some eyesight and is not the most active, but that did not stop her and her friends from having a fun time.

Duane Moody
“Miss Terry, you are a hundred and two, how do you feel?”

Ann Terry, Centenarian
“I feel good. I can’t see so good. I’m so old; I’m not so healthy like first, but I still okay.”

Dalia Chan, Administrative Officer, Helpage Belize
“She is well loved and we really enjoy being with her. We did it because we usually do our centenarians every year in honor and to give them a nice day and for socializing with their past members. This really gives them an incentive especially socializing that’s the key part. She loves her past members which are here today and I’m sure she enjoyed everything despite she said she is half because she cant see but she is enjoying it.”
