Five Students to Benefit This Year from M.O.U. Signing

Bryton Codd

According to Codd, the M.O.U. has already provided athletic assistance to five students who are going away this year. But they, and other successful candidates, will need to meet certain requirements.

“There are certain requirements that you must have in order to make that transition. You have to be able to be doing well in school because coaches abroad look at your record, your athletic record. They also look at your performance on the court, the tournaments you’ve been a part of, what type of training you’re engaged in. So the holistic athlete is what coaches look at, and so in terms of the athletes that we represent, we try to ensure that athletes, even before they connect with us. We also try to reach out to some of these athletes to say, hey, you need to stay on track with school. You need to ensure that you’re videoing your training so that you could have footage to be able to provide to the coaches when these opportunities they come up., and also now there is a process of transparency that has to happen between BK Sports and the ministry to ensure that in the selection process, everything is put on the table in terms of how the athlete is doing, what their projections look like in terms of school, to ensure that we are not wasting resources.”
