Belize City man believed drowned at Boom

Police are combing the Belize River near Burrel Boom in search of a Belize City man who entered the waters and has not been seen since. 45-year-old Bernard Rosado was being driven from Burrel Boom into the City by Susan Fuller. When the car slowed down between miles 7 and 8 Rosado jumped out and ran straight into the river. He was seen to go under and not emerge. Rosado, who has a history of mental problems, is of fair complexion, 6 foot two inches in height and was wearing a blue T-shirt and jeans. Police and B.D.F. Maritime personnel continue to search the area.
