Is Magali Marin-Young Stepping Down as AG?
Is Attorney General Magali Marin-Young stepping down as government’s chief legal officer? Credible information reaching our news desk suggests that the A.G. is demitting office after roughly two and a half years. When we spoke with her earlier today, the attorney general did not confirm the information and instead referred us to Prime Minister John Briceño. P.M. Briceño is out of the country on official business in the Bahamas. He told News Five that Magali Marin-Young had initially indicated that she would not serve out the entirety of the five-year term as attorney general. The prime minister also said that when that time comes, an official statement will be issued.
