More New Police Officers to Be Recruited This Year

And in keeping with its mandate to uphold law and order, the Belize Police Department will add more to its numbers in the coming months. Commissioner Williams explained that while they will prepare to graduate new officers, they will also be taking in new applications for young men and women to join its ranks.

“Yes, we will have a passing out hopefully in month of June for recruit squad number 96. And we’re currently in the process of, um, doing recruit squad number 97. So we’re hoping that by. End of June, July this year, we should have scored 97 in training.”
