Ladyville Teen Charged for Freddy Chicas’ Murder

Last Friday, the decomposing remains of Freddy Chicas was discovered in the vicinity of the Eight Mile Community. He was executed; shot once to the head. Today, police formally arrested and charged Bevan Curtis Alford, an eighteen-year-old labourer of Ladyville for the crime of murder. Earlier today, when the media caught up with Deputy Commissioner of Police Doctor Richard Rosado, he was asked about the suspect who is a youth similar to those that are being engaged by the Leadership Intervention Unit.

“Today, an eighteen-year-old from right here in Ladyville was charged with murder. How important is it for you guys to reach that population between sixteen going on to eighteen because that’s where we see a lot of these young men commit these violent crimes?”

“I think it is very important as a society, as stakeholders, as government agencies that we must reach out to all individuals, all the at-risk individuals, all the individuals that are in prone areas that are likely to commit crime and provide to them the necessary support system in order for them to become productive members of society.”
