Bullet Tree Road Also Gets Needed Attention

Another thoroughfare that is getting attention is the Bullet Tree Road in Cayo. The road is paved but the Chief Engineer explained that it has some issues that need urgent attention due to the topography. And then there is a large section of the Philip Goldson Highway, as well that is undergoing resurfacing, among others.

Lennox Bradley, Chief Engineer, M.I.D.H.

“It has a lot of differential settlement because of the poor geo-technical properties of it. We want to concrete that road, so we are making every effort to try and start that Bullet Tree Road. You’re aware of the major projects that we are engaged in right now, the Philip Goldson Highway from Mile twenty-four point five to mile ninety-two, including the Rimate. We have the new Haulover Bridge that we are dealing with, we have the Caracol Phase Two, we have San Estevan in Orange Walk that we are hot-mixing a portion through the village, we have the Guinea Grass Road that has been problematic in the past. We are dealing with the Guinea Grass Road, we are paving two point two kilometers through the village right now. And we’re also addressing the sections that are vulnerable to flooding between Tower Hill and Guinea Grass Village. And of course, we have the Corozal, Sarteneja Road ongoing.”
