Independence Polyclinic Investigated After Reportedly Sending Home Burn Victim in Critical Condition

And, according to Doctor Melissa Diaz Musa, the Director of Public Health and Wellness at the Ministry of Health and Wellness, an investigation has been launched at the Independence Polyclinic.  Doctor Musa says her team is seeking to ascertain what the doctor said to Pop and his family.

“I am aware of the situation and the other director, Dr. Polanco is also aware. We have sent out a request for it to be investigated and we are waiting on reports with regards to what really transpired and what were the messages that were given to the family and all information, but it is something that is currently being investigated. I don’t really like to talk about, especially to protect the patient and confidentiality as well, it is really difficult to say much on the air with regards to this case. But, just to say yes we are investigating what happened in that incident.”
