The N.T.U.C.B. Donates to Helpage Punta Gorda

Luke Martinez

Every time it has its Annual General Meeting, the National Trade Union Congress of Belize, N.T.U.C.B. chooses a non-government organization to give assistance to. This year, the umbrella organization chose Helpage Punta Gorda and during the course of the A.G.M. this past weekend, N.T.U.C.B President, Luke Martinez handed over a check of five hundred dollars to the organization. He told us that the union’s goal is to be selfless, to build relationships and to share with other entities that are in need.

Luke Martinez, President, N.T.U.C.B.

“This gesture that we do every year is just to help other remember that whenever you see the National Trade Union Congress doing its work, you’re also assisting us in helping others, so we encourage every single Belizean to support the National Trade Union Congress in what we do because we’re seeking to help better the lives of others. Every A.G.M. The National Trade Union Congress identifies an N.G.O group to make a donation and this year we identified Helpage Punta Gorda Town Branch.”
