Prime Minister says No One Will Be Excluded from Constitutional Reform Process
There is also controversy surrounding the makeup of the People’s Constitutional Commission, as certain groups felt that their voices have been excluded. We asked the Prime Minister about those criticisms, as well as the approach that the P.C.C. will take when there is a difference of opinions on critical issues. Here is how he responded.
Prime Minister John Briceño
“This is where I differ from what they are saying. They are totally wrong, simply because, the commission as it is way too big. The commission wont determine the framework of the constitution it is the people, so that everybody, every group, individual, be it political party, religious, social whatever it is will be able to present their views, and when you present the views together, you extract what is workable and can be fashioned into a constitution that truly reflects the will of the people.”
