Stig Da Artist And Universal Music Group Solidifies Relationship in LA
Stig Da Artist is in Miami, Florida tonight to perform for the Miami Carnival Caribbean Connect event. But, before flying to Miami, the musical artist made a stop in Los Angeles, California to meet with the Executive Vice President of Universal Music Group Jeffrey Harleston and U.M.G.’s marketing team. Viewers may recall that a group of musical artists from Belize signed distribution deals with U.M.G. earlier this year, including Stig. He told us about his experience in L.A., including his evening out with DJ Khaled. We spoke with him via Zoom.

“I always talk about manifestation and much time I have visualized walking into a record label, meeting with a big boss. I always visualize that. I had it on a vision board. And, it came to reality. A lot of artist, a lot of Belizean artist and artist around the world, and America nuh get the chance fih walk eena dah building deh, nuh get the chance fih even sit down with somebody like that. So, it was definitely a dream come through my brother. You ever the court a gial and like when you court a gial pan phone, you know yo the get ah lee progress, they don’t text back as much. But, when you meet dah gial in person and you spit game eena real life then you get the real deal and say alright I could spit game yah suh. Well, dah something like that, because shout out to brother Shyne. We could have done these stuff online buy they wanted to meet in person and through Shyne he took me there in person and we sat down and they got to meet the real Stig, we chop it up and talk and they get fih tell me deh game plan in person and I get fih hear what they expect and I get fih tell deh what I expect from deh as well. God did, listen Channel Five, deh neva believe eena wih. Listen, deh neva believe eena wih. But on a serious note, I remember writing in my vision book, I will have a project. I will record a song and release a proejkct with DJ Khaled, again thanks to brother Shyne. He was a cool guy in person. man told me listen we wah get this thing done, we wah get this video done. I needed to hear that form the man myself.”
Stig Da Artist says his song featuring Davido and DJ Khaled will be released no later than November of this year.
