Opposition newspaper reappears

Story Picture
Speaking of the press, a new newspaper hit the streets today. The Guardian is the new party organ of the Opposition U.D.P. Edited by Senator Audrey Matura, whose journalistic career includes stints at Channel Five, Channel Seven, the B.C.B. and B.I.S., the paper follows in the footsteps of the U.D.P.’s earlier efforts, namely the Beacon and the Pulse. Except for some cosmetic changes, the new weekly differs little from its partisan predecessors and one is left to wonder why the Pulse was closed down in the first place. It is not known whether that paper’s owners have made any attempts to pay the thirty-eight thousand dollars they owe to the VAT Unit or the additional thousands in unpaid debts to various private sector suppliers.
