Nutritionist: Mental Health is as Important to Wellness as Your Diet
And because a big part of health and wellness has to do with one’s diet, the food that one eats no doubt is one of the focus areas of the session. But as the ministry’s nutritionist, Robyn Daly shared, food and nutrition is just one of the aspects of good health. She shared that mental health and the stress levels that people endure are also linked to their health.

“We always encourage mental health sessions, mental health breaks. Is there an area somebody can go to to just unwind, that they can use meditation, a quiet area that they could just say, well you know what, I’m having a rough time, I could just use this area to gather my thoughts, gather myself, maybe say a prayer – something that there could be like a quiet corner. Those are some of the suggestions that we’ve posted and of course one main thing is physical activity. We want to see more physical activity within work places, more walks, more sports days, different activities that can generate the wellness concept, and of course, healthy eating.”
