Government Ceases New Hiring After Reinstalling 10% Salary
As a part of the Government’s effort to keep its expenditures under control, it has announced that it will suspend all new hirings, creation of posts, filling of vacant posts, and approval of salary advances, new allowances, workshops and non-essential purchasing of supplies. The decision to hold back on these undertakings follows the reinstitution of the ten percent that public officers and teachers were paid, effective July first. The government announced that vacation leave remains at twenty days and sick days in excess of sixteen days continues to be treated as vacation leave or leave without pay where the officer does not have vacation leave credits.
