Belize to Get Ambulances through Expansion of EMS Program

Belize Heroes is also embarking on the expansion of the Emergency Medical Service Program it started out west with assistance from a U.S. CARSI Grant. Archibald McFarlane says that in a few weeks, Belize will receive a donation of ambulances to build the capacity of E.M.T. services out west.

“We are expanding the program that we started in 2020 to all of San Ignacio, Santa Elena, Benque and Belmopan. So on the twenty-first, viewers could look out for a lot to activity at the airport because we are going to be getting three more ambulances, a couple explorers as well as a slew of EMS suppliers so that we can start this program in mid August to late August.”
