Minister Musa Wants No Part in ComPol Williams, OJ Elrington Feud

Kareem Musa

Reporters also got a chance to ask Minister Musa about the war of words between Commissioner of Police Chester Williams and attorney Orson Elrington that has been playing out in the public. Musa was asked whether he believes that W.P.C. Alicia Trapp will be given a fair chance at answering to the accusations brought against her, considering the ongoing spat between her attorney and her boss. Here is how he responded.

Kareem Musa, Minster of Home Affair

“That seems to be some sort of little competitive thing among the lawyers, between the ComPol and OJ Elrington. But, I won’t get involved in that or comment on that. The police, and in particular the Commissioner of Police doesn’t have any say in what will happen to Ms Trapp. That is going to be determined by tribunal that is if she is charged. As I am aware, honorable Julius Espat did not press any charges, criminally, against Ms. Trapp, but I think there may still be a tribunal hearing for Ms Trapp. It is not something that I would want to comment on as Minister and let it take its course.”
