“What’s Orson Elrington’s Success Rates in the Courts?” – Chester Williams

Chester Williams

The back and forth between Commissioner of Police Chester Williams and attorney Orson Elrington continues over disciplinary measures to be taken against Police Constable Alicia Trapp who is accused of violating the police department’s social media code. Earlier today, Elrington responded to a letter written to his client by the Officer Commanding the Professional Standards Branch.  In the letter addressed to Senior Superintendent Calbert Flowers and Deputy Commissioner Bart Jones, attorney Elrington wrote, (quote), the Commissioner of Police made multiple public statements and now you, by this letter, are threatening to breach our client’s constitutional rights. The institution of any disciplinary action against our client would be a breach of our client’s constitutional rights and would be met with swift legal action, (unquote). This afternoon, during a brief interview with ComPol Williams, he responded to the most recent communication from P.C. Trapp’s attorney.

“I really noh have time for nonsense, you know. Please, anything Orson Elrington has to say, please don’t tell me about it. If he wants to take legal action, by all means, the courts are open. Anybody can take legal action. The question is, is the court going to be so foolish to accede to nonsense that he may want to present before the court. Ask the public what is Orson Elrington’s success rate in the courts and then you come back to me. On that note, I am done.”
