“On Friday around 6:15 p.m., police responded to a road traffic accident around mile fourteen on the Stann Creek Valley Road where they saw a forty-seven-year-old man, Francisco Pop, that was hit by a RAV 4, driven at the time by a female, Polly Alford.  She claimed that she was driving at the time from the direction towards Dangriga where this person suddenly swerved into her lane and she tried to avoid hitting him but unfortunately she ended up hitting him.  He was transported to the hospital, the Southern Regional, and then we know that he was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in a critical condition.”
