What’s the Plan? Deputy Mayor Micah Goodin Responds
Micah Goodin was elected to serve as the new deputy mayor of the Belize City Council a few weeks ago. So when News Five caught up with him over the weekend, we took the opportunity to ask him about his plans for the city and the council, having now elevated to the post.

“I have a lot of plans. My colleagues and I, we are very excited about this year. We feel that this year is a very critical year for us and together, we have several initiatives. We want to look at infrastructure, we want to look at streets, we want to look at drainage. We want to look at how it is that we can roll back this funeral tax because we see the need for us to be able to assist people in time of bereavement. So for us, this year is also about continuing our social programs, but we want to focus more so on infrastructure and drainage.”
