Belize Supports Taiwan at W.H.O. Assembly

The Government of Belize issued a statement today saying it supports the Republic of China Taiwan’s participation at the seventy-fifth World Health Assembly as an observer. G.O.B. says Taiwan is seen as a model in combating the pandemic and continues to be applauded internationally. In addition, Taiwan has assisted Belize and many other countries in their COVID-19 response efforts through the donation of essential medical supplies and equipment, including surgical and N95 masks, protective gowns, and ventilators. The Government of Belize says it remains committed to the joint efforts led by the World Health Organization and believes Taiwan’s expertise and input will benefit all member states in the global health fight against COVID-19.
