Another Armed Attack on Antelope Street Extension
There was an attempt on the life of Alrick Lamb in the same crime-ridden neighborhood where Dorian Tzac was gunned down last Thursday. According to Lamb, he was on a bicycle in the vicinity of the Collet Education and Resource Center when he was pursued by the occupants of a vehicle who opened fire on him on Antelope Street Extension.
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Director, B.P.D.
“Sometime just after one o’clock, Alrick Lamb reported that he was riding his bicycle somewhere around the Education and Resource Center in the Collet area where he heard a vehicle approaching and as he attempted to turn into lane, he heard what sounded like gunshots and realized that he was hit in his right thigh and ankle. He was transported to the K.H.M.H. where he is listed in a stable condition.”

“We know just in last week, on Thursday night, there was a murder in the vicinity. Do investigators feel maybe that this incident was an act of retaliation? Is that a possible angle right now?”
Fitzroy Yearwood
“Well the person in question, Mr. Lamb, is no stranger to the law and we wouldn’t want to say that it’s an act of retaliation because he has his own problems in that area. But what I can say is that we have amped up our patrols in the extension area, that extension area has seemed to have come out of a dormant state and while we wouldn’t want to compare that shooting to any other one, we must say that the police presence over there is alarming, to see that people are still trying to elude the law and commit their agenda at their own will.”
