School Security Warden Program Important During Pandemic

Sosa says that the school security wardens are playing an important role as children transition back into the classrooms during a pandemic.

“Given the fact that schools have now reopened and have returned to hybrid learning, it is now more important than ever before that we are able to assemble a cadre of school security wardens that are able to assist us with monitoring the COVID protocols on the school compounds. I actually just came from visiting three schools earlier this morning where new wardens have been installed and I can tell you that those wardens were very vigilant in making sure that before entering the compounds, the students temperatures were being checked, they were being escorted to the wash stations where they wash their hands. And so more than ever before Duane, we need to ensure the safety of our students, we need to ensure the safety of our children and in this time, it has become even more critical for us to have the right people in place to serve as school security wardens and certainly we cannot continue to have a situation where wardens are totally absent from their workstations.”
